Monster Mountain Goat

I just returned from my Mountain Goat hunt with Packhorse Creek Outfitters, whom you recommended to me. I wanted to let you know I appreciate your help in locating some truly fantastic people. These guys, without a doubt, work as hard as I have ever seen and quality from start to finish is the result. I did take a truly monster Goat with the help of Jason, Charlie and Kevin.   All three worked together to help score this magnificent 10 ½” billy. Thanks again and I will get in touch when I begin planning my next hunt.

        Thanks Again for your help

Cindy Atcheson's Bighorn!
Most people could wait a lifetime for the opportunity to draw a Bighorn Sheep tag in their home state.  This year, 2006, was Cindy Atcheson's LUCKY YEAR!   Cindy and her husband, Jack Atcheson Jr., scouted for this monster ram for 11 days and hunted for ten of them.  On Friday, October 20, 2006, Cindy took this beautiful ten-year old ram with 39 1/2 inch horns.

Pat Godwin hunts in Namibia
Keith,
Eden Safaris did an excellent job of managing our safari. The staff was great and took care of all our needs.  The airlines tried their best to disrupt my hunt but Eden Safaris wouldn't let that happen.  Quality animals were everywhere and accommodations and food were as advertised.  I would highly recommend Eden Safaris for an African adventure. -- Pat Godwin

Diary of a Rookie African Hunter

BY BOB ABERNATHY

DAY ONE

We left camp in the morning (this part is a rewrite because evidently Day One, Day Two and Day Three did not get on the microphone for some reason) around 7-7:30.  We had to go to a governmental encampment to pick up a game scout for the remainder of the trip at that location.  His name was Isaac.  This is the guy that follows around with you to make sure that all of the game laws are obeyed and no unwanted game is left in the countryside.  We went out later and sighted in both weapons.  I was amazed at the amount of elephant dung everywhere on the roads.  I guess when you eat 400 pounds of fodder a day and have a poor digestive system, that is the result.

That afternoon we found some buffalo track...
