How To Book A Hunt!

1.                  Give Atchesons a call.  Atchesons provide free advice.

2.                  Tell Atchesons what you want to hunt.

3.                  Tell us about your physical condition and goals.

4.                  State your time and financial constraints.

5.                  What is the size of your hunting party?  When can you go?

6.                  We’ll suggest areas and outfitters, and supply references.  You talk directly with the outfitters.  Our advice helps you plan your hunt.  We want you to have fun and be successful.

7.                  All hunts are custom-designed by outfitters to your requirements.

8.                  Your deposit confirms arrangements.  Personal checks accepted.  Atchesons will help you with equipment and travel recommendations.  Our advice is free.  Outfitters and travel companies pay us to locate and inform clients.

Atcheson hunts are still open.  Best dates are reserved for our clients, and the best deals for the money.  Atchesons are insured and bonded.

Down Payments/Trip Cancellation

Atchesons strongly recommends trip cancellation insurance, because your down payment is your guarantee that you will be there. The outfitter/guide who accepts the down payment guarantees to provide his custom service.  At some point in time all deposits or partial payments become totally non-refundable.  Ask your outfitter before you book.  Sometimes a down payment can be reasonably rearranged if you cancel well in advance, or if you or the outfitter finds an equal and licensed replacement.  A cancellation fee of 10 to 15% of the gross of the hunt may be charged!  It may be impossible or costly to find a replacement client.  AT SOME POINT IN TIME, ALL DOWN PAYMENTS BECOME TOTALLY NON-REFUNDABLE!

Payment Schedule

Down payment and final payment requirements vary. Discuss this with your outfitter before you book! Hunts booked over six months in advance generally require a 50% down payment; over a year in advance generally requires a 25% down payment. However, often placing a 50% down payment a year or even two years in advance gives you the hunt at this years’ rate, saving you 10% to 15%. Most outfitters require full payment 60 to 90 days in advance of your hunt.
